I'm Janya Kaur, a student at Springdales School, Pusa Road, Delhi, and a debater with a deep love for public speaking and writing. I've competed for years in Public Forum, and what keeps me coming back is the adrenaline of debate - picking apart an opponent's case piece by piece, finding the holes, and turning their own argument against them. But more than the argument itself, I love the moment a room actually listens. I’ve been fortunate to walk away with Top Speaker honors at Harvard, Stanford, Northwestern, and Georgetown. Having a voice, and knowing how to use it, is what I care about most - in debate, in speeches, anywhere I'm speaking to an audience. Outside debate, I love writing, especially essays and poetry, and I'm fascinated by law, politics, and economics. I'm incredibly excited to represent Team India at IOF!
